Blogging for Scrapbookers

I'm a bit of a fraud doing this class with Shimelle, cos I'm not a scrapbooker. I love CJs and I enjoy making cards, but the thought of 12 x 12 fills me with dread. But I knew I would have a few free days over the next 3 weeks, so taking another Shimelle class, whatever the title, fills me with bliss ... and that's a good enough reason to sign up.

I have been making stained glass since January 2010, and this is my first lampshade. The three hours each Tuesday that I spend in the company of glass and lead and flux are both a time to relax and a time to create. Here are the four finished panels for my shade, tomorrow I begin to assemble ...

  1. You go girl, enjoy the bliss!! And just a side note you do not have to scrap on 12 x 12 pages. Make smaller pages like 6 x 6 or 4 x 6.
    That can be fun too.

  2. those panels look gorgeous! and i love your garland tutorial :)
p.s. found you through the shimelle class.

  3. Whoa! Stained glass - that's impressive. Your blog looks inspirational - I'm looking forward to blogging along with you. D x

  4. I love reading a variety of blogs so no worries about the scrapbooking (it's rare for that to be a part of my blog although I love scrapping) Your stained glass panels are gorgeous! Look forward to learning more about you :)

  5. I think there are fewer an fewer scrapbookers out there, even in the SFB class! LOL! And it's all good. I enjoyed taking a look around your blog - love the circle journals. My cousin makes stained class in Houston, Texas and blogs about it (I think her blog is called Sun Shines In or something). Love seeing more of it on the web.
